As stated above, the home inventory tool is free to use. There are other tools available, as you’ll see on the sign up page, but for the purposes of this post we’ll deal with home inventory alone.
You can sign up by clicking here. Once you’ve created your user name and password, you can select the free plan and start entering your home information.
Enter Home Information
The next section asks you to enter general information about your home, such as number of bedrooms, number of baths, and the type of property you own (single family, condo, townhouse, etc.). This takes between 3-4 minutes, depending on whether or not you know the answers off the top of your head or have to do a mental tour to tally up spaces.
Confirm Your Spaces
You’ll be asked next to confirm the details you have entered. HomeZada presents you with a list of the typical spaces that are associated with the type of home you have entered. You then add and remove those that apply. For example, you may not have a home office but you do have a finished basement playroom. Just swap out what you need. Plus, you can label your rooms as it suits you. You can label an upstairs bath, a downstairs bath, and a basement bath to distinguish them.
